TO THE BITCHERS AND MOANERS: PLEASE SHUT UP

I dont know where to start but I am tired of hearing people complain about the results of how the BCS went down this year. Before I start I am definitely on the side of the people that want some sort of playoff or plus one system put in place. The BCS, which is now in its tenth season of existence has truly only looked like it worked about 2 or 3 times that I can think of. It only has to be a money situation or you would think it would have been changed by now. In any event, being an Ohio State fan I just cant take it anymore and this is one way for me to vent my frustrations. I have been one to admit that Michigan has some very classy fans, and I have always gave them props for that, but after the last week or so I am not going to do that anymore. It isnt just Michigan fans that are saying this, but I am close to them because of where I work. All I hear is how lucky Ohio State is to have backdoored their way into the title game this year. I will start by saying that other teams should have took care of their business, but guess what they didnt. How can you say that they are not deserving to be in this position with only one loss? Every time I ask someone who is more deserving in this situation, no one has an answer for me. Why is that? Well because no one knows until more teams get the opportunity to play each other. With the system that is in place right now the right 2 teams got in. Now when I say Ohio State survived the crazy season with one loss, so did Kansas and Hawaii won all their ballgames. Lets go over the teams that supposably are supposed to be in over Ohio State that I have heard. Like you may have heard Kirk Herbstreit say, there are 2 different debates here. Do you take the 2 most deserving teams in the scenario or do you take the hottest teams in college football as of right now. The three hottest teams at the end of the year in my opinion were USC, Georgia, and Oklahoma. If there were a playoff in place, I dont think anyone would want to play these 3 right now. With the BCS however and the way it is, they are not deserving. It came down to 4 two loss teams that tried to make a case for the title game. Virginia Tech was close, but I think the fact that they had the 48-7 loss to LSU on the schedule did them in. They loss to a pretty good Boston College team and then got redemption on them in the ACC championship game. That blowout hurt them no question about it. Oklahoma lost to Colorado for crying out loud and Texas Tech. Yeah you guys are on fire now, but you should have never loss to either of those teams. Georgia has been phenomenal as of late, but they loss to South Carolina early in the year, and got their asses handed to them by Tennesee. Oh and one more important tid bit, you did not even play in the SEC championship game. I realize there is no written rule in the BCS constitution that states you have to win your conference to get into the title game, but it is an unwritten rule in my opinion. Oklahoma did it a few years ago and we all saw how that worked out for them. USC has been on a terror like they always do at the end of the year. Pete Carrol is something like 23-0 now in the month of november as a head coach. That is unbelievable, and there is no better time to take care of your business. The last couple of years though they havent been able to take care of it before november. They lost to a very good Oregon team at the time, that I feel would have been in the title game if it wouldnt have been for Dixon going down. Yes they did lose to Stanford though in one of the biggest upsets of all time in college football. That does not look good on a resume. Pete says they only play for a chance to go to the Rose Bowl though. Yeah nice try Pete. I have only heard you say that the last 2 seasons. Kansas is another team saying why not us? They were the other one loss team besides Ohio State. I was a big fan of the jayhawks this season, but they didnt beat anybody in the top 25 this season, and yes once again they didnt even play for the conference championship. As for Hawaii, I dont know what to say yet. I am not convinced yet that a team from the WAC deserves a chance to play for the national title. If they can go in and somehow find a way to beat Georgia, then it might start changing my mind after what Boise State pulled off last year as well. Here is the first 9 games on the schedule of Hawaii as well

Won .. That is just another reason I feel that they need to be left out of it for now. Like I said though, if they can beat Georgia, that makes a major statement for the WAC. One win from Boise State last doesnt quite do it for me yet. Now onto the Buckeyes of Ohio State. I get to hear how easy of a schedule they had this season. Well here is why it looked so easy all of the sudden. I will give you three major reasons. Michigan, Penn State, and Wisconsin. These are the 3 teams that most people picked to finish above us this season. Some experts even had Iowa ahead of us. Why didnt you guys live up to your end of the bargain. Michigan and Wisconsin were supposably going to be national title contenders with all of Michigan's offense coming back and Wisconsin's whole team coming back from last year's one loss season. Ohio State wasnt supposed to do anything and yep once again they won the big ten. The big ten would have been terrific this year if it wasnt for those 3 teams not living up to their expectations. All of the sudden Illinois is great and Indiana and Michigan State were much improved. So yes that is a major factor to that weak schedule we had this season. Now we get a chance to play LSU. From what i have heard already there is no need for Ohio State to even show up and play this game. The SEC is the greatest on earth and LSU is the best team to ever play. This is the garbage I hear all day everyday now. It is cool with me though. This is a great position for the Bucks to be in. They were heavy favorites last season and they blew that opportunity. It is starting to remind me of 2002 all over again except this LSU team is not near as good as that Miami team from then. Ohio State showed up and played and yes eventually knocked off the giant. Now I am not predicting a victory here. LSU is a great team and they are loaded with tremendous athletes and playmakers, but to say we dont have a chance in this game is ludicrous and pe0ple are going to see that in a month. You will see a much a different Buckeye team come January 7th. Take my word for it, and for God's sake, please shut the hell up and deal with it. Go Bucks!
